Today’s Class
In today’s class I learned something new. I learned that asylum has more than one meaning. It also means to give refuge. For example if someone from a country is coming to a different country because it is bad conditions there and the country lets them in is called giving them asylum. Mr Shick said that tomorrow we may do a debate in class and I am kind of looking forward to it because I enjoy that type of stuff and I think it would be something cool way to learn about what we are talking about in class currently

Pop Quiz Today
In the beginning of class today we
went over a sheet of paper that we did last Friday. This paper was on a video
we watched in class that Friday as well. The video was about a man who created
a graph about different countries wealth and life expectancy. The countries
were represented by different color dots and the larger the dot the more people
it had. The x-axis stood for wealth and the y-axis stood for life expectancy.
If the dot was on the lower end of the graph, they had bad wealth, which in
many cases could create low life expectancy. Also, if the dot is in the upper
region if the graph that means it has a high wealth, which causes it to have a
high life expectancy. After we reviewed that paper, we had a pop quiz on it. I
feel like I did well on it except for number nine. I didn't really know what it
was that well and I was trying to decide between two answers, so I just picked
one and I hope it is correct.

Today's Class
In class today we went over the population slide that we have been working on the past week. We looked over some population graphs of cities in the US and why they are the way they are. For example there was one place where it was higher in people from the age 30-55 thrived because it is a small area and most of it is a high security prison so most of the peoples ages range from that area. Also we looked at the estimated population in the coming years and the population in the previous year and how its been decreasing and increasing and why over time.
