Today's Class

      In today's class we reviewed our assignments from the previous night about of facts from the world fact book. My five facts were 1. The United States is number 60 on the median age list with a median of 38.1. 2. Monaco the richest country in the world has almost the lowest sq/km in the world at 2 sq/km's. 3. China uses 5, 920,000,000,000 kilowatts of energy. 4. Afghanistan has the highest child death rate at 110 per 1000 child. 5. China has the largest work force in the world. I heard some other interesting facts today like china has 500 and some airports which is very surprising. I found this surprising because china is one of the biggest  countries in the word even bigger than the USA.

Facts in World Fact Book

1. In the world fact book it said that The United States is number 60 on the median age list with a median of 38.1
      This Relates to what we are learning in class because we are learning about the ages of people in different places compared to the United States. Also this is interesting because you would expect a large highly advanced and wealthy country to be higher up on the chart but we are number 60th.
2. Monaco the richest country in the world has almost the lowest sq/km in the world at 2 sq/km's.
      This Relates to what we are learning because we learned that they are the richest in the world but the only have 54 people as of 2017. This is interesting because you'd think that a very wealthy country would have one, more people, and two would be bigger and possess more land.
3. China uses 5, 920,000,000,000 kilowatts of energy.
      This relates to class because it shows how much the population effects resources used and things that can be down falls of major countries and cites like pollution and lack of food, water, energy, oil, etc. This is interesting because it out ranks every country by far in energy consumption. China uses about 3 trillion kilowatts more that the USA and the USA is number 2 in the world.
4. Afghanistan has the highest child death rate at 110 per 1000 child.
       This relates to class because it shows how the population can be affected by one thing. This is interesting because you would expect Niger to be the highest death rate for children because it it ridden with disease
5. China has the largest work force in the world
       This relates to class because it shows us earths population. This is interesting because there are not a lot of young people in that area because of laws of the amount of kids you can have. 

Today's Class

    In class today we learned about world population. We also learned about the average rate of children born bEt woman in America and different places. America is is surprisingly not the highest one out there. We also learned about the average age people live to in America compared to other places. I enjoy taking notes in class because it’s something different than my other classes, yeah well take notes but we don’t do it the whole class and I like writing a lot in that fassion.

Review of Completed Test

      Today we went over our test we completed last Friday. I didn't do to well and I was very confused. I didn't understand how I failed because when we did the review and the question game I got all of them right except like one or two and those that I got wrong I went home and studied them. Also when I was taking the test it felt easy and that I got almost all of them right except like one or two but when I looked at veracross it said I got a 67% and i was very surprised. I guess I will have to make up a new study habit because this one didn't seem to work which is odd because it worked for the last one, I don't know why but maybe it was because it was different material. Luckily my grade didn't plummet but it still went down a grade letter but that just means I have to work harder to make sure I get and even better grade before. 

Test Tomorrow

Tomorrow we have a test. I am studying my notes tonight and I feel pretty confident about it but I still can improve on some of the subjects. Today we played a game and I got a lot of chances to study and go over some of the stuff and I got a lot of stuff right. I’m not to worried because it’s multiple choice. During the game today people were being very loud so it was kind of hard but I feel like if Mr Schick ran it and not a student it would go a little better.

Test Friday

On Friday we have a test. Today we went over everything and talked about what is going to be on the test and what isn't. I feel somewhat confident about thus test but I'm not totally ready. The test is going to be on out unit that we are now currently studying, Map and Geography. Also today we decided that we'd prefer multiple choice and not fill in the blank which is kind of relaxing because I would have done a lot worse on a fill in the blank test.

Review Day!

      Today in class we reviewed a lot of our notes and stuff we have been taught over the past couple weeks. At first when we were reviewing I couldn't find what we were talking about. Eventually after help from other people I found it and had everything I needed. This unit wasn't hard it is just a lot to remember for the test that is coming up. I know that I defiantly will have to study for this test in order to get a good grade on it but that's not to much to worry.

Students Teach Students

        Today in class our teacher let two students try and teach the class the best they could. Only two kids got to go up but it was still fun to watch and learn. Our teacher would ask us questions and them questions as they taught to really make you thing and understand the subjects. I really like Human Geography because it’s not like some classes where you just sit there and listen to someone talk for an hour, our teacher does different stuff or make it entertaining for use to keep us alert and learn the material as best as possible. It was cool watching a student in my class teach. One kid that went up was really good st teaching surprisingly and did a really nice job.

Today's Class

          Today in class we talked about the test we took about last week, answered some questions we . had and had some discussions. On the test I got an 87. I feel like I could've done better on some of the sections but I feel that I did a great job on the essay part. We also talked about Socrates and Colin Capernick did and are doing and how they are similar to each other. I think what Capernick did was right to the sense that I understand what he is fighting for and I believe in that too but I feel like where he did it and how he did led people to have a reason to get mad at him. Also this kind of relates to Socrates because he started something that he believed in and other people didn't, now he didn't get kicked out of the NFL but he still was punished.

      Today in class we learned more about maps and geography. Today we learned about the different time zones and what time it is in certain places in the world. Today we took notes on GPS. GPS stands for Global Positioning System. Each point on the earth is unique, form where it is to its characteristics. Prescribing features is an essential building block for geographers. GPS is so important to today’s geagrphical studies because geographers because in order for them to describe a place on earths surface it is much more accurate and easier to identify the location.
